पंख कछुआ

इनका उपरी कवच भूरे रंग का तथा नीचला भाग सभेद या पिला होता है। इनकी पैरो की उंगलीयों में झिल्ली होती हैं। ये प्रजाती पुरे भारत देश में पायी जाती हैं। वे किचड के भितर रहकर शिकार को चट कर जाते हैं। वे ज्यादातर जलीय वनस्पती, मेंढक, मछलीयाँ तथा घोंघे खातें हैं।

Flapshell Turtle

The Carapace (above) is olive - brown and Plastron (below) is yellow or white. Their digits are fully webbed. They are widely distributed in the Indian subcontinent. They prefer to lie underneath the mud and snap at passing prey. They mostly feed on water plants, frogs, fishes and snails.
